Arched Shades
Do you have arched windows or doors that need privacy and yet look beautiful when they are raised? Well, look no further. Our shop is here to help. We offer truly custom, one-of-a-kind fabric roman shades for your arched windows or doors. Whether it's an eyebrow arch or a true half-circle, we are the experts that can transform your naked windows into a gorgeous showcase. Each shade is fabricated with expert craftmanship from over 24 years of window covering experience and begins with the top arch being created with exact precision. Many standards are implemented and include things such as double folded side hems for added weight and stability, hidden weight bars at or near the bottom of each hem, and flannel-like lining added to thin fabrics for additional body and structure. The shades can be lined in our light-filtering privacy lining, room darkening lining and even unlined. Interested in an online quote? It's easy as four simple steps and you can receive your quote in as little as five minutes.
Step 1: SELECT YOUR STYLE OF SHADE
-
FLAT STYLE: this style shade is our most popular and provides a clean-lined look that is both modern and functional, creating three-to-four-inch folds as it is raised.
-
AUSTRIAN STYLE: this style shade has a beautiful traditional look with lots of fullness in the vertical direction and pretty swags in the horizontal direction that are spaced between 12" to 16" apart. It looks gorgeous fully lowered and equally nice when raised about mid-way. This style shade is typically unlined but if you choose to line it, we always use our lightest weight drapery lining as not to compromise the integrity of this style shade.
-
FAN STYLE: this style shade tends to look best on narrower windows and lays completely flat when it is fully lowered. When it is raised, it forms soft 3" to 4" folds that mimic the look of an accordion fan.
-
LONDON STYLE: this style shade is the perfect blend of traditional and modern. The soft balloon folds along the bottom add warmth, while the vertical inside pleats provide a clean and modern look. This style shade often needs dressing when it is raised, and it may have wrinkles when it is lowered so it's best to choose this style when you know you may keep it in the partially raised position much of the time.
Step 2: ENTER THE DIMENSION OF YOUR WINDOW OPENING. Using a steel tape measure, measure the opening of your window, providing us with the width, length and arch height. For more tips on measuring, click here
Step 3: SELECT THE FABRIC COLOR. You can choose to use one of our fabrics, or you can choose to provide your own fabric. When providing your own, it must be approved by our shop so be sure to send us a direct link to it so that we can assess it. It should be about 54" wide and be a home decor drapery fabric.
Step 4: SELECT THE TYPE OF LINER. You can choose light-filtering privacy lining, room darkening (also called blackout liner) or you can choose for your shade to be unlined.
